This week, the area tourism website, Visit Buffalo Niagara, announced that Fowler's is a finalist in their annual Beacon Awards recognition program. This prestigious award shines recognition on to local companies that are an attraction for regional tourism. We were recognized for our National Sponge Candy Day campaign, held last September.
These award are part of a larger celebration of Travel & Tourism week, May 1-7, 2016. The focus is upon the significant impact tourism has on our region. This annual tradition was established by congressional resolution in 1983 and the nationwide celebration of events serves to draw attention to the impact of tourism.
Visit Buffalo Niagara kicks off the week with the 6th annual Beacon Awards luncheon, on Tuesday, May 3, at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Fowler's leaders will attend this luncheon.
